Bishop Ray R. Sutton

Presiding Bishop

The Most Rev. Dr. Ray R. Sutton serves as the Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church (REC) and the Ordinary of the Diocese of Mid-America. He is also the Dean of the Province and Ecumenical Affairs Officer of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), of which the REC is a founding member and special jurisdiction. Bishop Sutton often lectures at ACNA and REC Seminaries and is a popular retreat speaker.

The Rev. Canon Tony Welty

Rector

The Rev. Canon Tony Welty is a graduate of Ole Miss and, after graduating from Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania in 2001, served for twelve (12) years in The Episcopal Church in congregations in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Tennessee and Texas before transitioning into the Reformed Episcopal Church in 2015. Fr. Tony was a commercial and investment banker before following God's call into ordained ministry. Fr. Tony also serves as the President & CEO of Ascension Classical School in south Shreveport.

As a former college club lacrosse goalie, Fr. Tony enjoys coaching youth lacrosse and serves on the Board of Directors of the Red River Youth Lacrosse Association. Fr. Tony serves as Canon Missioner for Church Revitalization in the Diocese of Mid-America; as a member of the Board of Directors of the Anglican Schools Association; and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the REC's Diocese of Mid-America.

Fr. Tony and his wife Cherie recently celebrated thirty five (35) years of marriage and enjoy spending time with their four adult children and eight (8) grandchildren. In his down time, Fr. Tony enjoys reading, playing the guitar, exercising and cooking.

The Rev. Darren Duncan

Priest in Residence

Chaplain Darren B. Duncan, Command Chaplain, United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), recently joined us from Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. He is the principle advisor for one of 11 Unified Commands under the Department of Defense regarding the role of religion as it affects the operations across the competition continuum and to provide for the free exercise of religion for authorized personnel. Chaplain Duncan is a graduate of Liberty University. He was commissioned a mission pilot with the United States Air Force at Fort Campbell, KY in 1992 and flew drug reconnaissance missions until 1994. He was re-commissioned in the USAF as a Chaplain Candidate in 1998, in 2001 as a Reserve Chaplain and in 2003 as an Active Duty Chaplain. He is endorsed by the Anglican Church. Prior to his current assignment, the Colonel was the Wing Chaplain at the 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, and then the Command Chaplain for AFSOC/HC.

Dr. Martin Alaichamy

Director of Catechesis and Postulant for Holy Orders

Dr. Martin and his wife Tara and two sons (Julian and Arthur) recently moved to Louisiana from Illinois where Martin received his Doctorate in Medieval Church History from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Martin currently teaches middle school and high school Latin at Providence Classical Academy in Bossier City, Louisiana. Tara is a Physical Therapist at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport.

While serving as a Lay Staff member at All Saints', Martin is a Postulant for Holy Orders in the Diocese of Mid-America of the Reformed Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Cherie Welty

Director of Faith and Family Formation

Mrs. Cherie Welty was born in Jackson, Mississippi and raised in the heart of the Mississippi delta. Cherie earned a degree in Community Ministry from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.

In her role as Director of Faith and Family Formation at All Saints Anglican Church, Cherie oversees the spiritual process for children and families through our Sunday Morning One Room School House model of discipleship. The motto for Faith and Family Formation at All Saints' is "Gather. Grow. Go."

Cherie and her husband Tony enjoy spending time with their four (4) adult children and soon to be seven (7) grandchildren.

Mr. Mike Nader

Coordinator of Pastoral Care Ministries

Mike Nader is a native of Shreveport and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mike received his degree in Broadcast Journalism and worked for some time in the radio and television industry before a career in Commercial Banking.

Mike utilizes his talents at All Saints Anglican Church as a Lay Reader, Small Group Leader and the Coordinator for Pastoral Care Ministries. Mike aspires to be ordained as a Permanent Deacon within the Reformed Episcopal Church in the next couple of years.

Mr. David Sherman

Director of Sacred Music

David Sherman is an accomplished church musician with over forty (40) years of experience as an organist and Choir Director. David oversees all sacred music offerings and frequently teaches Anglican Chant at All Saints Anglican Church.

David received a B.F.A. in Music, Organ and Church Music from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Church Music from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master's Degree in Religious Education from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

David is a regular substitute teacher at a variety of schools in the Shreveport-Bossier City area having received Teaching Certificates in Instrumental Music and Vocal Music from the University of Oklahoma and Centenary College, respectively.
