The Rev. Canon Tony Welty

The Rev. Tony Welty is a graduate of Ole Miss and, after graduating from Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania in 2001, served for twelve (12) years in The Episcopal Church in congreagtions in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Tennessee and Texas before transitioning into the Reformed Episcopal Church in 2015. Fr. Tony was a commercial and investment banker before following God's call into ordained ministry.

As a former college club lacrosse goalie, Fr. Tony enjoys coaching youth lacrosse and serves on the Board of Directors of the Red River Youth Lacrosse Association. Fr. Tony serves as Canon Missioner for Church Revitalization in the Diocese of Mid-America; as a member of the Board of Directors of the Anglican Schools Association; and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the REC's Diocese of Mid-America.

Fr. Tony and his wife Cherie recently celebrated thirty five (35) years of marriage and enjoy spending time with their four adult children and eight (8) grandchildren. In his down time, Fr. Tony enjoys reading, playing the guitar, exercising and cooking.
